Research and Development

Thirst pursues a structured R&D program designed to keep us on the forefront of new technologies. Thirst also works with select clients to pursue research into areas of emerging interest. We develop white papers and technical strategy documents on commission or to contribute to technical issues in select fields.

Special areas of interest include classification and search systems, taxonomies, next-generation interfaces, P2P, Video-on-Demand, open source software, encoding, digital rights management, identity, and privacy.

Prototypes

In many instances it can be useful to prototype an application or a subset of functionality for demonstration purposes. Prototypes can help non-technical participants’ articulate likes/dislikes and structure a feedback process before final functional requirements are developed.

VC Opportunities

Thirst has worked with several venture capital groups as a due-diligence partner. Thirst has also helped several firms identify emerging technology opportunities.
